Hemyock boasts a very well stocked Spa 'Eight 'till Late'  where most provisions can be purchased, including newspapers, magazines and a good selection of beer, wine and spirits.  We also have a membership so that guests can hire DVD's if they wish.   The nearest town is Wellington and has a small selection of shops and supermarkets (including a Somerfield, Asda and Waitrose).  For a larger supermarket the closest is Tesco at Cullomopton otherwise Taunton is the next closest major shopping town.

Otherwise there are many local food producers who sell a wide range of high quality products that can be purchased directly or from one of the many farmers and village markets operating in the Blackdown Hills.  List of these producers can be found on theBlackdown Hills Business Association Website and in our information pack at Sunnybank.  The closest to Sunnybank are listed in the Useful Links section of this website.

EATING OUT

The Castle Hotel in Taunton is very highly regarded, for those who wish to 'splash-out a' little.  Otherwise guests may choose the Deer Park, Honiton or The Masons Arms, Knowstone.

The nearest Pub to Sunnybank is The Catherine Wheel in Hemyock.  It serves good beer and quality food.

There are many other good pubs in the area; The Culm Valley in Culmstock, The Half Moon in Clayhidon, The Merry Harriers in Clayhidon, The Holmon Clavel in Churchinford, The Blue Ball at Sampford Arundel. All provide high quality food; something to suit everybody's taste!

Slightly further afield but still easily reached is The Sidmouth Arms in Upottery , The Ashill Arms in Ashill and the Globe in Appley ; all  are worth a visit.
